Borderlands Juniors & Minis
Code of Conduct
4 golden rules
-
We listen and we don’t talk when the coach is talking
-
We keep our hands and our feet to ourselves, unless the coach tells us otherwise
-
We are respectful, we look after our teammates and we never use our BJJ to hurt others
-
When the coach calls ‘parou’, we stop what we are doing and line up in silence
Rules of the mat
-
No shoes on the mats, no bare feet off the mats
-
When our partner taps, or says ‘tap’, we stop what we are doing immediately
-
We come to each class prepared with an open mind and the right equipment (water bottle, gumshield, correct, clean training gear)
-
We maintain good hygiene and keep our fingernails and toenails trimmed
-
Our bottles of water are kept off the mat
-
We never brag about ‘who we tapped’
-
If we need to leave the mats for any reason, we tell the coach
-
If we get hurt or we believe our training partner is hurt, we tell the coach
-
If we are struggling or uncomfortable with anything, we tell the coach
-
We bow to our coaches at the end of class and shake everyone’s hands/give highfives
