Borderlands Grappling team hits the mats in Tenbury

The Borderlands Grappling squad made the trip down to HA Muay Thai in Tenbury for a brilliant afternoon of Jiu-Jitsu and community, taking part in a joint open mat followed by a post-training BBQ.

Representing Borderlands on the mats were Coach Owain, Andrew Lloyd, Josh Alderson, Charlotte Lewis, Kev Smart, and Fin Smart.

The session brought together a great mix of grapplers from across the region, featuring teams from:

• Borderlands Grappling (Ludlow)

• HA BJJ (Tenbury)

• Rouge Combat (Leominster)

• GroundHammer (Hereford)

  
  

The team put in two solid hours of sparring, sharing techniques and getting in some fantastic rounds with dynamic training partners from our neighboring clubs. Once the Gi and No-Gi gear came off, everyone refueled with a well-earned BBQ and a chance to catch up off the mats.

A huge thank you goes out to Tom Morris for organizing such a smooth, welcoming event. Events like this highlight the strength of the local grappling community, and we are already looking forward to the next one!
