This morning (Friday 5th July 2024), Borderlands Grappling Head Coach Owain Williams, was invited to talk to BBC Radio Shropshire's morning host Adam Green about our new martial arts in Ludlow grappling project. The short interview offered Owain the opportunity to share what we are doing at Borderlands, invite people to join the club and explain a little about what grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are all about. He was then invited to take a short, fun quiz based around sports in Switzerland (not included in the video), which he unfortunately lost.
Owain's worthy (and victorious) opponent, Russell Teece, is currently completing the gruelling cycle ride from John o' Groats to Lands End. Russel's epic challenge is all to raise money for Hope House, an amazing children's hospital that cares for babies and children with life-threatening conditions across Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid and North Wales.
