Grappling to hit Ludlow: Get fit and learn something new.

Updated: Aug 12

Hello Ludlow!

Starting Wednesday 26th June, Cast Iron Culture will host the town's first-ever grappling/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lesson.

The classes will be led by Owain Williams, a seasoned grappler with over 15 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience, who has also competed at some of the UK's top events.

So, what can you expect from our classes?

Our new class will be held once a week, on Wednesdays from 8-9 PM. The first sessions will be pitched at total beginners, assuming that attendees have none-to-little experience with martial arts. Borderlands will be a safe, friendly environment where you can try grappling without judgment or concern. Our goal is to create a friendly, inclusive club where people love coming to train and improve.

The first new sessions are unlikely to include any contact sparring, instead focusing on some basic positions, techniques and safety surrounding the sport. Once contact sparring is introduced, this will be an optional (but encouraged) activity.

Still not sure?

If you have any questions, reservations or concerns, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Want to get involved with martial arts in Ludlow?

You can book into our first class now - just visit our booking page. If you find that capacity is full, please get in touch and we will try and help.

Let's roll!

Cheers - Owain
